Argos Multilingual is pleased to announce the appointment of Katerina Gasova as the company’s new Global Quality Director. In her role, she will help drive the development of language quality programs for Argos’ enterprise clients. She will also own the company’s overall language quality management strategy and help introduce new language-related solutions.
With almost 30 years of active involvement in the language industry, Katerina (Katka) brings a wealth of experience developing and running language quality programs for some of the most demanding enterprise clients. Previously, she worked at Moravia IT, where she set the foundation for their Linguistic Services Department, and later moved to RWS.
Throughout her career, Katerina worked to educate and shape the industry, focusing on translation quality and how it should be defined, measured, and managed with end users in mind.
A frequent speaker and writer, she has also played a significant role in defining several industry standards related to language quality processes and metrics under ASTM and TAUS and evangelized those under the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA).
“We are very fortunate to welcome Katka to Argos. I’ve worked with her closely in the past and followed her over the years, so I know how respected she is in the industry,” commented Véronique Özkaya, CEO of Argos Multilingual. “She’s going to bring enormous value to our clients, and she will continue to work closely with various organizations to develop industry standards around quality.”
We would be remiss to not attend LocWorld47 Berlin, the most respected conference for all things localization. This conference is the first actual face-to-face event after more than two years. The organizers did a fantastic job and we’re still processing our thoughts, and the energy from the event will keep us going for some time. […]
